Webinar Speaker Agnès Leroux

Agnès Leroux joined Airlines for Europe (A4E) as a Policy Director in August 2019, where she is responsible for aviation security, passenger data & border control, cargo and customs. Since March 2020, she has coordinated the response of European airlines to the COVID crisis at EU level, from the travel restrictions to the development and implementation of the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

Agnès has more than ten years of experience in EU public affairs, communications, advocacy campaigning and coalition management. Prior to A4E she worked in two political communications firms in Brussels, where she advised clients on a broad range of EU policy topics, including transport (drones, new mobility services), digital policy, energy and environment as well as industrial policy.

A French national, Agnès speaks fluent English and Italian, as well as conversational German. She holds a Masters degree in “Politics and Government in the EU” from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE, London) and a Masters degree in “Public Administration” from Sciences Po (Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Rennes).

Webinar Speaker Pascal Ollivier

Pascal Ollivier is President of Maritime Street, a digital trade logistics strategic advisory firm dedicated to port authorities, governments, and international financial institutions to shape the future of Trade. He is a world-renowned Port digitalization expert and has a track record of information technology expertise spanning 30 years and of managing world-wide operations and relations with governments in 80 countries.

Pascal is also the Chairman of International Ports & Harbors Association Data Collaboration Committee and is the founding chairman of International Port Community System Association (IPCSA).

Pascal graduated from the French Institute for Higher National Defense Studies in Maritime issues and strategies, holds a MSc in Economics from Paris Dauphine University and a MBA in International Business from the European University of America, San Francisco.

Webinar Speaker Maria Spyraki

Maria Spyraki was awarded MEP of the year 2019 for Industry, Research, and Innovation. She is now serving her second mandate in the European Parliament with of Nea Demokratia party – European People’s Party (EPP), as a member of the Committees Industry, Research, and Energy (ITRE) and Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI). She is also co-chair of the Intergroup on Climate change, biodiversity and sustainable development and Vice-Chair at Delegation for relations with the People’s Republic of China.

During this mandate she has been the rapporteur on the Motion for Resolution on Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. She was also the rapporteur of the report “Maximizing the energy efficiency of buildings” at ENVI Committee and the shadow rapporteur on behalf of EPP on “Energy Storage” report and on the Public Loan Facility in the Just Transition Mechanism at ITRE Committee. In addition, she is the Shadow Rapporteur on behalf of the EPP in ITRE on the Proposal for a Regulation concerning batteries and waste batteries, and she is the Rapporteur in the ENVI Committee on behalf of the European Parliament on the Methane Strategy file.

Maria Spyraki’s first degree is in Chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has an MSc in Energy Law, Business, Regulation and Policy from International Hellenic University, Greece. She has worked for 22 years as a journalist, until 2014, when she was elected MEP.

Moreover, she has attended three summer schools at the College of Europe, Brugge (Energy Union Summer School, Negotiations in practice and Intensive Seminar of the EU). Also, she has graduated from two e-learning programs from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens on Crisis Management and the Financial Crisis of 2010.

Robert Bos is a Deputy General Manager of Nuctech Netherlands B.V. – a subsidiary of Nuctech – a global security equipment producer. An engineer by education with almost 30 years of experience, he is in charge of the company’s business development, sales, tendering and certification in Europe.

Webinar Speaker Pascal Michaux

Pascal Michaux is a founder of a Brussels-based consultancy EU Focus. He has almost 25 years of expertise focusing on health, chemicals management, food safety and most recently international security.

Pascal developed an in-depth expertise of EU policies where science is being challenged by societal & political developments. He substantially contributed to the drafting of various key Regulations while providing innovative interpretations of existing regulatory principles.

Pascal previously worked as a lawyer in a prestigious Bangkok-based law firm and as an editor of a website on EU-Asia relations for the European Institute for Asian Studies.

He holds a Masters degree in Law from the Louvain Catholic University (Belgium) and a M.A. in Intercultural Management from the IcHEC Brussels Business & Management School. He is fluent in French, English, Italian and has conversational Dutch and passive knowledge of Spanish.
