IT Support Engineer

We are looking for technically skilled candidate with good problem-solving ability for the independent position of IT Support Engineer.

Job description:

As our IT Support Engineer, you have a solid technical background in IT Support which enables you to respond quickly and effectively to the IT needs and challenges of your colleague’s, while also managing any issues related to our IT infrastructure and systems at our Netherlands offices.

Together with our International IT team, you will ensure the optimal performance and functionality of all Netherlands IT systems, along with other IT related duties and responsibilities.

Our IT Support Engineer has a strong sense of responsibility as the single point of contact for IT related matters in The Netherlands. You will be the designated person who takes responsibility for supporting our IT systems and equipment, this includes the potential for out-of-hours work in emergencies.

Together with a professional international team, your focus and determination play a crucial role in maintaining, and ensuring the required performance of, our IT systems. You will also help to identify and implement the best solutions to IT related challenges as we continue to grow.

By joining our team, you'll work closely with your colleagues in The Netherlands, Europe, and China. Together with our staff, customers, and partners we are pushing the boundaries and capabilities of high-end X-Ray products globally.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Global IT team as needed, with troubleshooting and management of a Microsoft Domain environment, including MS Exchange email and file services.
  • Domain Account and distribution list management (creating accounts, resetting passwords, managing lists etc.)
    Endpoint management of company devices – including patching and Information Security monitoring.
  • End user support for all IT related issues, including software, accounts and IT equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of all IT Equipment (Servers, UPS, Local Network devices, AV equipment, computers, mobiles, Multi-Functional Printer etc.)
  • Local network management (troubleshooting issues, reporting and tracking outages, patching etc.)
  • IT purchasing (IT equipment, software and licenses).
  • ISO27001 related quarterly, monthly and weekly monitoring and reporting activities.
  • IT related local vendor management and coordination.
  • IT Inventory and asset management and reporting.
  • Telecoms purchasing and management (Mobile phones and company numbers).
  • Management of Badge based printing system with vendor support (Ricoh ELP NX).
  • Providing IT purchasing related advice and guidance as needed.
  • Assisting the Global IT team with any requests, projects or activities (as needed)

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business IT / IT management (or similar)
  • 2+ years’ experience in servers room maintenance.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar function, providing all-round IT support to multiple small offices.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Office 365) – Managing a small Tenant (approx. 30 licenses).
  • Demonstrable experience with ISO27001 compliance, reporting and auditing processes.
  • Experience working in a multi-national office environment.
  • Strong understanding of server room’s infrastructure, including electricity, fire-protection, wiring, monitoring.
  • Proficient in servers racking and OS installation.
  • Familiar with Linux (Ubuntu) – advantageous but not required
  • Fluent spoken and written English
